James M. Fleeman, LMSW
James, better known as Jim, has provided therapeutic services to the Rochester community since 2001. During this time, he has provided counseling and therapy to a wide range of individuals experiencing emotional, behavioral, and brain injury issues.
Jim was born just outside of Tampa, Florida in a city called Largo. He began his career in 1992, providing services to the Pinellas County communities. Since that time he has been educated through experience and formal education in multiple states with a variety of populations. This provides a unique collection of knowledge and experience that has proven to benefit those who receive services from him.
After moving to Rochester, he entered graduate school and subsequently graduated with a Masters of Social Work degree from the Greater Rochester Collaborative Masters of Social Work program. The following year, he achieved New York State Licensure.
While in graduate school, Jim focused on Cognitive-Behavioral , Humanistic, and Experiential theories, and continues to use these models to tailor interventions and living tools to the specific individual. In February 2009, Jim and his wife Jennifer opened Cognitive Solutions.
